All About Our Beef

Behind the Beef

Our animals are born on our farm or on other farms local to us here in Boyertown, PA. We specifically select beef breeds- particularly Herefords & Angus, with a few other fun crosses mixed in.

Our calves are on pasture with mom with access to as much hay and feed as they please. Once they’re weaned, they get finished on a well-balanced diet of hay and grain for the best marbling possible.

How Does This Whole Thing Work?

If this is your first time buying beef in bulk, we’re here for you! The process can be confusing, but we’re happy to answer any questions you may have. Listed above is an example of the cuts you get back from a whole animal with a 785lb hanging weight. On average, our carcasses weigh around 700-850 pounds.

Our beef is available by the piece, or in quarters, halves, and whole animals. When you buy a half or more, we send you a cut sheet to select the specific cuts you’d like; otherwise you get a variety of steaks, roasts, ground meat, etc.

Pricing is based off the hanging weight of an animal. If you’re buying a quarter of an animal and the hanging weight is 800 pounds, you’ll pay the quarter price multiplied by 200. No extra butcher fees apply unless you’re having patties, chip steak, or stew cubes made (feel free to reach out for that pricing!).

It’s estimated that the typical family of 4 goes through a quarter in around a year- if you’re like us, though, it may be a little shorter than that!

If you feel like a quarter is still too much for your situation, we also sell by the piece and in bundle boxes. We are happy to cater to your needs & preferences!
